sibs

Plants derived either by selfing, or by crossing between genetically similar parents. In the production of F1 hybrid varieties occasional crossing may occur within rather than between the parent lines giving a proportion of nonhybrid seed. The plants that grow from such seed are called sibs.
The term sibling species is sometimes used to describe closely related populations having a common ancestry.
