IPA

(isopentenyl adenosine) A natural *cytokinin , similar in structure to *zeatin. In addition to being a very active cytokinin, it has been found as a minor base in certain transfer RNA molecules. In the tRNA specific for the amino acid serine, IPA is found following the anticodon and thus may serve to mark the end of the anticodon.
