Caulerpales

(Siphonales) An order of the *Bryopsidophyceae containing algae that lack any dividing walls. They also differ in containing α-carotene in addition to β-carotene. In some classifications these acellular algae are placed in the three orders: Derbesiales, Codiales (including Bryopsis and Codium), and Caulerpales (including Caulerpa and Halimeda).
