2-4-D

(2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid) A synthetic auxin of the *phenoxyacetic acid type with two substituted chlorine atoms. It is the auxin most widely used commercially as a selective weedkiller. See also 2,4,5-T , MCPA.
