oxidase

Any of the flavin-linked *dehydrogenases in which the reduced coenzyme can be reoxidized by molecular oxygen, which forms hydrogen peroxide with water. An example is the enzyme L-amino acid oxidase, which catalyses the oxidative deamination of L-amino acids.
