Macronutrients include * carbon , hydrogen, and oxygen, which are obtained from carbon dioxide and water. The remaining macronutrients, * nitrogen , * phosphorus , * potassium , * sulphur , * magnesium , * calcium , and * iron , are obtained from the soil.
