Describing a form of leaf venation in which there is a single primary vein and the secondary veins arising from it curve upwards towards the leaf margin. The secondary veins may join together in a series of conspicuous marginal loops (brochidodromous venation, e.g. in wild cherry, Prunus avium) or may remain separate (eucamptodromous venation, e.g. in downy rose, Rosa tomentosa).
